Computer Fact!!!

In the 1950s computers were commonly referred to as "electronic brains."

The prime reason Google home page is so bare, is due to the fact that the founders didn't know HTML and just wanted a quick interface. In fact, the submit button was a later addition and initially, hitting the RETURN key was the only way to burst Google into life.

HOW TO RECOVER LOST PICTURE/DATA FROM SMART PHONE (ANDROID OS / IOS8

Many times we have accidentally deleted photos from our phones, and no matter how hard we try, we just can't seem to get them back.

Painful, right?

Now there are ways to undo such errors on iPhones or Android phones. Apple has made photo-recovery easy with iOS8, but as for recovering deleted photos from Android phones and memory cards, you'll need a third-party application to do that.

If you are using an iPhone or an Android phone, these tips will help you recover deleted photos from your devices.

However, you need to remember that once you've deleted the pictures or other files, it is safe to not use your device until the data is recovered. This is because, when a picture is deleted it is not erased permanently, but rather it just opens up space for more data. Any operation on your device then —including taking photos — can generate new data and overwrite that space, which would make lost data unrecoverable.

For iPhone:

With the new iOS 8, Apple has made it very easy to recover deleted photos. Follow these steps:

Step 1: Access your Photos App and go into your albums.

Step 2: Scroll to the bottom and tap on "Recently Deleted."

Step 3: In that photo folder you will find all the photos you have deleted within the last 30 days. To recover you simply have to tap the photo you want and press "Recover." You can also press "Delete" to get rid of that photo permanently.

Note: If there's a picture you were looking for that is older than 30 days then you would have to either restore your phone using a saved backup on iTunes or used a third-party photo recovery app.

For Android:

Different apps are now available in the Android market these days to help you recover your lost data. You can try out different apps to see which one works well for you. Here are some recommendations of apps that are very fast and easy to use.

DiskDigger: This app can be downloaded from the Google Play store and installed on your phone. DiskDigger will scan your whole device—including the SD memory card—for deleted files.

Step 1: Access your Google Play store and search for DiskDigger then download and install the app.

Step 2: Open the DiskDigger app and tap "Refresh List" to populate the screen. Once the screen is populated select the "System" folder.

Step 3: After you have selected the folder tap "Scan Device" and the screen will be populated with a list of most recent deleted files. When you see the photo you want to recover simply select it and hit save.

Step 4: The app will then ask you where you want to save the photo and after you pick its destination your photo should appear back in your memory card or phone system.

Kvisoft Data Recovery: If you still can't find your deleted photos by using an app then you can also try desktop apps like Kvisoft Data Recovery, which scans and finds the lost files on your Android device. But, if you want to retrieve the files you'll have to buy the upgrade which costs $70.

Step 1: You'll have to enable USB debugging on your phone, which you can do by going into Settings >Applications >Development >then checking "USB debugging." While you do that make sure that you have launched the program on you PC.

Step 2: Once you have enabled USB debugging and the program is running, go ahead and connect your phone to your computer using a USB cable and select Multimedia/Mobile Device from the program's home screen.

Step 3: After clicking Multimedia/Mobile Device look for your device by name or capacity size and press start.

Step 4: The program will then scan the entire Android device and compile a list of files for you to search through. Once you have selected the files you want to recover you can click "Recovery" and assign where you want those files to be saved.

Wondershare's Dr. Fone for Android: There is another alternative if you don't want to pay, you can use Wondershare's Dr. Fone for Android. However, the desktop program is only available for PC.

Step 1: Connect your device to your computer and launch the program.

Step 2: You'll then have to identify your device and once it's selected you can press "Start."

Step 3: The program will then scan the entire device for lost data and show it to you in organized thumbnails.

Step 4: After you have selected which photos you want to recover you can press "Recover" and assign where you want to save the photos.

Note: These programs should also scan for files in SD memory cards if they are inside the phones, but if you just want to scan the SD card you may also want to try using photo-recovery programs for memory cards. There are several in the market, but one that proves to work is PhotoRec by CGSecurity—and it's free. The program works similar to Dr. Fone and Kvisoft. You just have to launch the program, insert your memory card and scan for files then save them to your computer.
